It can happen that your telephone broke, you have switched phones, forgot the login details of your two-factor authentication app, etc. When two-factor authentication (2FA) is enforced on your account, it will not be possible to login to your DMARC Analyzer account anymore. In this article we explain what to do when you are locked out of your account due to two-factor authentication (2FA).

Please take note of the following:

DMARC Analyzer can not promise to remove the two-factor authentication (2FA) from your account. Only in cases where the questions are answered in detail and enough evidence is submitted, DMARC Analyzer will consider to remove two-factor authentication (2FA.

Are there multiple users within the account?

If yes:
When there are more users within the account, please ask one of them to disable two-factor authentication (2FA) on your account. This can be done by login into the account, click on your username in the top right corner and go to ‘User management’. Click on the desired user, here you can toggle the ‘disable two-factor authentication (2FA) for this account’ switch.

After this is done the user can login again, without the need of two-factor authentication (2FA). We advise to enforce two-factor authentication (2FA) immediately again after this.

If no:
When you are the only user in the account and you are locked out due to two-factor authentication (2FA), you can submit a formal two-factor authentication (2FA) removal request to DMARC Analyzer. Please submit the following information and answer the questions as extensive as possible, also provide as much evidence as possible:

  • How many domains do you have in your account?

– Name as many domains as possible

  • How many of these domains have an enforced DMARC policy?

– Name as many domains which have an enforced DMARC policy as possible

  • When did you signed up for DMARC Analyzer?

– Please provide as much evidence to prove you are the owner of the account as possible:

  • Confirmation email from signing up
  • An invoice you received of the payment made to sign up for your account
  • A DMARC summary you received
  • A DNS monitor trigger you received
  • A compliance threshold trigger you received

Please submit the two-factor authentication (2FA) removal request via our contact page.
